The exhibit was juried by Stephen Wilkes, one of America’s most iconic photographers, and will feature large-scale pieces from his “Day to Night” series.

Over 600 submissions were received and Wilkes selected works by 65 professional, amateur and student photographers. Photographs are for sale and a portion of sales benefits the Carriage Barn Arts Center.

For over 20 years Wilkes has been recognized for pushing the boundaries of what fine art and commercial photography can accomplish. His most recent and ambitious project, “Day to Night,” rewrites the rules of photography by seamlessly blending 1,000 shots of the same landscape into a single photo, compressing the fourth dimension of time into a two dimensional medium.

Sponsored by The New Canaan Society for the Arts, the exhibit is generously supported by The Boyd Law Group, Walter Stewart’s Market and Stewart’s Spirits. The photography exhibit will be on view through Thursday, February 13, 2020. Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday from 10am-3pm and Sunday from 1-5pm.
