Greenwich abstract painter, Graham Miller is an artist who conveys an intensity of boldness and strength in his paintings. His work can also be described as patterned, dimensional, and structural with his signature technique of intricate splatterings.

Gathering inspiration from Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline and other contemporary artists, Miller also credits his world travels, especially across the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean as equally inspiring.

Describing his process, Miller says “My work is a process. I like to experiment with colors, textures, and surfaces. I have no concept of time while painting.”

When he is painting, he explains “I am absorbed in it; it’s impulsive and has a motivating intensity to it. Jackson Pollock called it ‘state of being.’ What I have in mind to create often changes as the process develops.” With an eye for vibrant force of color, his paintings express movement, form, and depth.

Mr. Miller was born in New York City, and lived for many years in Darien, CT before moving to Greenwich, CT. He received his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. His work is displayed in public and private collections throughout the tri-state region and he can be commissioned for artwork.
