“An artist’s way of seeing is similar to a musician’s way of hearing,” Shrady was quoted as saying in a news release. “Some artists imagine work in full form, others imagine it in fragments; both refine the arrangement.”

Shrady attended the Art Students League in New York City and studied under Will Barnet, where she was awarded a merit scholarship from the National Arts Club in Manhattan. She earned a BFA from the School of Visual Arts and also studied at the Corcoran Museum in Washington, D.C.

Shrady has exhibited widely, including The School of Visual Arts Gallery in Manhattan, The Elaine Benson Gallery in Bridgehampton, N.Y., The Duluth Art Institute, The Clarke Gallery in Palm Beach, Fla., The Clarke Fine Arts Gallery in Manhattan and The Bendheim and Flinn Galleries in Greenwich. Her work has also been exhibited at other private galleries in the metropolitan New York area. Her clients include corporate executives, celebrities and private collectors throughout the country.

Shrady is a member of Loft Artist Association and the Contemporary Art Network and continues to create inspired contemporary artwork at her mid-century studio and retreat along the Mianus River in Stamford.

She is the granddaughter of sculptor Henry Merwin Shrady and the daughter of artist/sculptor Frederick Shrady.
