“This year’s exhibit will highlight the work of 6 dynamic and diverse artists new to the LAA,” Director, Mark Macrides stated. “We’re always excited to welcome to the organization talented new artists from area communities. Each of these artists brings a unique style and body of work to the LAA, as well as established and upcoming profiles in the local art community.”
Their work ranges from contemporary cityscapes in acrylic, to sculptural animals made out of beads, newspaper and other found materials, and on to organic still lives, abstract oils and minutely detailed etchings and watercolors revealing the unseen world. The new members include; Jeffrey Nelson, Carmine Fusaro, Marina Shrady and Valentina Vaillant of Stamford, Dorothy McClure of Darien, and Ann McRae of Greenwich.
