Gallery’s Got Game! This month C. Parker Gallery is bringing all the players in: here come our artists, our collectors, and our great art. Summer is over, but the fun doesn’t have to end. We want everyone to enjoy it a little more and we are doing our part. This exhibition is a winner, so come join our team and explore our artists’ playful takes on board games, sports legends, and more.

Muhammad Ali said, “Champions are made from something they have deep inside them. A desire, a dream, a vision.” Athletes and artists share visions. They see the world differently from the rest of us; and they can show us their art on the field, court, and diamond. Now our gallery revisits some of the greats and their unique perspective and influence.

Embrace your inner child with pieces like Steve Lacy’s presentation of NBA, NFL, and MLB stars’ vintage rookie cards, featuring all-time juggernauts like Michael Jordan, Lawrence Taylor, LeBron James, and the late Kobe Bryant. Gavin Sewell’s show-stopping game board collages harken back to classic family nights playing Monopoly and Clue, and Craig Alan delights with his iconic populous series depicting Rubik’s Cube and superheroes. You’re never too old for Game Night, and we’re bringing it to Greenwich in style!

We’re not done! We are going into overtime, bringing in several basketball collectibles such as signed jerseys and photographs of legends such as Magic Johnson and Larry Bird. Don’t miss out on a chance to own a piece of sports history. We hope to see you in the gallery this September during this fantastic and engaging event to celebrate the enduring influence of games and sports on our lives!
