As part of the Wall Street Design Kick-off on Tuesday, there will be “A Taste of Wall Street” and samples from area restaurants! Restaurants include Mr. Mango, Pontos Taverna, Rebel Daughter Cookies, B.J. Ryan’s/BanC House, Sabor Ambateño Bakery Norwalk, Sonia’s Kitchen, Bubbly’s Bubble Tea, People’s Choice, and Café Aroma.
On Tuesday, the city’s Transportation, Mobility, and Parking Department will hold an event to gather the public’s opinion at the Wall Street Theater.
The event will run from 4 to 8 p.m., with remarks from Mayor Harry Rilling and several Common Council members around 5:15 p.m., TMP Director Jim Travers said. To maximize public response and attendance, the event will be an open-house style, with tables featuring different aspects of Wall Street that the city is seeking feedback, Travers said.
“We wanted it to be participatory in nature. We’re going to have stations on the inside and two information stations and a ton of old photos of Wall Street,” Travers said. “Inside will also have ‘a taste of Wall Street.’ We went to restaurants and asked them to supply the appetizers we are buying. On the main floor, there will be four tables you can go to and discuss different things you like about Wall Street.”
