Alder Crocker is a unique artist whose life story shocks and fascinates at the same time. A sudden traumatic accident changed his life forever, leaving him with a physical disability and an amazing new creative ability.

Alder is an abstract artist who uses unique color combinations, specific visual symbols, dates, esoteric signs, and words from ancient archaic alphabets and transforms them into abstract compositions and paintings. As the artist himself says: “I want to take people on bright, original visual adventures that are as fun as they are unexpected. I hope, at the same time, my art allows people to rid themselves of life’s difficulties at least for a moment.”

Alder found his talent as part of his rehabilitation from a freak accident in 2018 that left him a quadriplegic. Having experienced a traumatic brain and spinal cord injury, he awoke from a coma with a newfound ability to paint, the rare beneficiary of Acquired Savant Syndrome, which was uncovered during art therapy. His colorful abstract expressionism has resulted in some of the most vibrant works that will take as a part of the exhibit with the work of Oksana Tanasiv.

Alder is a lifetime member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, CT offers his unique talents as an Artist in the Classroom to local schools, and his work is collected both domestically and internationally.

Oksana Tanasiv is an artist whose work can be found in private collections worldwide. Her experience as a multinational, Ukrainian-born, American artist and former career as a model, and visual decorator has gifted her with a unique perspective inspiring her work to speak upon issues diverse as economics, spirituality, fashion, celebrity, and beauty. Tanasiv demonstrates communicative strength in realism, surrealism, abstract, and pop art throughout her many collections.

She can be found experimenting with a variety of techniques and media. Her most recent series, Code U, utilizes layers of epoxy and collage with interactive LED lights to convey her message of eternity and the profound joy of life.

In 2020, Oksana opened her new gallery located in the heart of SoNo, Connecticut. She is using her space to create a flourishing community of Tri-State Area artists and collectors.
