We are excited to present the work of John Bygott who has spent the greater part of his life in the Westport, Fairfield, and Black Rock area. John has returned to CT from living in Santa Fe NM and Fort Lauderdale FL, and now resides in Black Rock. John has a studio at the Metro Art Studios in Bridgeport and is on our staff here at Picture This several days a week.
John is a graduate of Paier College of Art and has taken classes at Silvermine and the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven.
He has spent most of his life in the gallery and design business representing other artists. John began painting his work again 20 years ago and has been represented in galleries in Santa Fe NM, St. Petersburg Delray FL, and Charlestown RI. John paints primarily in oils and is fascinated with the relationship between the sky, horizon, and wide open spaces of meadows and ocean.
